I just recommend looking up reviews on all products in the laptop to ensure good quality.

I trust ASUS over MSI any day that is for sure. And my box isn't built on one of those configuration sites, but I have an NZXT Phantom(White) case, i7, GTX570, 32GB solid state, other hd's, ASUS Sabertooth X58 mobo, corsair ddr3 ram. I don't even know the exact specs of it all but if you really want to know I can get them when I'm home. I would highly recommend the NZXT Phantom for a case.

Whatever you end up doing, SgtDrew is spot on, always read up on it a lot before buying, I usually check the reviews of many sites while looking at price differences. The other thing you can do, say if you're looking at the "ASUS G50V" (I just picked a random one) you can search google for "ASUS G50V issue/problems" to find out specifically what known problems there are with it, many times you'll get results from forums with people complaining about things, so you know what you're getting into before you buy. But mainly rely on reviews from newegg, amazon, tiger direct, etc.

Simca if you can put together knex or lego's you can build a computer, I really believe you could. It's not difficult, and saves you money.
    Newegg.com / Tigerdirect / xoxide / amazon!

What are you looking to spend? If you give us that much we can give you several lists of killer pc's that you would get way more for then if you bought it from any store per-built.
